1989   

C&W opens the St. Louis office, Cushman & Wakefield of Missouri, Inc., through current Gateway principal Joe McGauley.

1997   

Dennis DeSantis named C&W's St. Louis managing director.  Joe McGauley moves into full time business development and brokerage role.

1999    

Summit Development Group formed by current Gateway principal John Ross.

2003    

John Ross forms the commercial brokerage firm, Summit Realty Group, to operate as a sister company to Summit Development Group.

2004     

Chris Fox, current Gateway principal, named managing director of C&W's St. Louis office.  Dennis DeSantis moves into full time business development and brokerage role.

2005    

Gateway Commercial is founded through the combination of professionals from C&W's St. Louis office and Summit Realty Group with offices at Park Place, 100 South Brentwood Boulevard in Clayton, MO. Summit Development Group continues independent of Gateway, owned and managed by John Ross.

2007

Gateway opens its St. Charles office at 300 St. Peters Boulevard in
St. Peters, MO. Gateway headquarters remain in Clayton, MO.
